International Ballet Competition Belgium

The International Ballet Competition Belgium was relaunched by Marie Laurence Lionnard this year after having to cancel the competition in 2020 due to COVID-19.

Having practised dance for many years, Marie Laurence Lionnard, director of the International Ballet Competition Belgium, chose a Harlequin floor for the competition in Soignies, Belgium.

All participants danced on the Salle Calypso theatre stage which had a Harlequin Duo performance surface.

The International Ballet Competition Belgium (IBCB) aims to highlight the technical skills of young dancers whilst helping to support their artistic career in dance.

Harlequin looks forward to working with the International Ballet Competition Belgium in the future to ensure all participants compete safely on a Harlequin floor. The IBCB also plans to install Harlequin floors in the classroom area next year where candidates will rehearse and prepare for the competition.
