Harlequin Cascade dance mat and bag
€114.45 (ex. VAT / ex. postage)
This 2m x 1m Harlequin Dance Mat can be laid down onto any smooth, hard surface to protect existing flooring and provide a suitable dance surface for all types of dance.
The Harlequin Cascade Dance Mat is most popularly used for:
- Classical ballet (including pirouettes and pointe work)
- Percussive dances (such as tap, Flamenco and Irish Dance)
- Modern
- Contemporary
- Aerobics
- Zumba
- Jazz
- Hip-Hop
Compared to the Harlequin Studio vinyl, Harlequin Cascade is a little thinner and firmer, which allows for a great sound within percussive dances. We do not recommend it for use on carpets, as it could slide on the soft floor.
Order your Harlequin Cascade Dance Mat to be able to continue your dance training at home safely. You can store it and reuse it as much as you like. The mat also comes with a convenient bag for easy storage and transport.
Harlequin Cascade is the floor of choice for these companies and many others:

- Royal Academy of Dance
- Hong Kong Ballet
- American Ballet Theatre
Can I use a Harlequin Dance Mat directly on carpet?
Although the Harlequin Dance Mat can be used on carpet, we would advise that it is best used on a hard surface like a kitchen floor. Using the mat directly on carpet could run the risk of it moving/slipping when you dance so you would need to take extra care. The best option for carpet is the Harlequin Tap and Turn Board.
Does the Harlequin Dance Mat need to be taped down?
You do not have to tape the mat down, but you can use Harlequin double sided tape for additional security on carpet or Harlequin High Performance tape on a hard surface.
Is the Harlequin Dance Mat available in other sizes?
No, if you require a larger dance area you can buy multiple mats and tape them together.
Can I tap dance on the Harlequin Cascade Dance Mat?
Yes. For best acoustic results place the mat on a hard tiled or wooden surface.
Can I do pointe work on the Harlequin Dance Mat?
Yes, you can. The Harlequin Cascade surface is slip resistant, suitable for pointe work. For the best support for your ankles whilst doing pointe work it is advisable to place the mat on top of a hard tiled or wooden surface. Also remember that the subfloor won’t be sprung.
Can I buy multiple mats and tape them together?
Yes.
Can it fit under the bed?
This would depend on the size of the bed. The Practice Mat when rolled out measures 2m x 1m. When rolled up, it should not be bent.
How heavy is it, is it easy to transport?
The Practice Mat weighs approx. 7kg and comes in a bag, making it very easy to move around the house and transport anywhere you need to take it to practice.
What is your delivery service and can I get it on a Next Day service?
